Case Keenum stepped back onto the NFL stage on Monday night with a performance for the ages, guiding the Chicago Bears to a dominant 27-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Making his first appearance since 2023 and filling in for an injured Caleb Williams, Keenum proved he still has plenty left in the tank. In his 67th career start, Keenum etched his name into the record books by becoming only the second quarterback in league history, alongside Ryan Fitzpatrick, to win starts for seven different NFL franchises.
The veteran signal-caller orchestrated a balanced attack that kept Philadelphia off balance all evening. Keenum finished the night completing 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards, connecting with Luther Burden for an eight yard score and hitting Kalif Raymond on a deep forty one yard touchdown strike. While one passing touchdown to Colston Loveland was stripped away upon video review, Keenum capped off the rout himself in the fourth quarter with a gritty one yard touchdown run on third down.
While Chicago cruised, it was a nightmare outing for the Eagles. Despite trailing by only three points at halftime following a signature tush push touchdown by Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia completely collapsed coming out of the locker room. The offense sputtered through three straight three and outs to open the second half and managed a meager sixty two total yards throughout the entire third and fourth quarters.
Turnovers and mistakes defined the night for Philadelphia as they struggled to find any rhythm. Along with an interception thrown by Hurts and a costly fumble by Tank Bigsby, backup Andy Dalton tossed a pick into the end zone during a brief relief stint that gave rookie Dillon Thieneman his first career interception. Combined with ten penalties and a struggling third down conversion rate, the Eagles simply had no answer for a Bears team that controlled both time of possession and momentum from start to finish.
